Rovinj Serenade
Rovinj Serenade was composed in 2003 and is written for a viola with pianoforte accompaniment.
Rovinj (pronounced "Rovin") is a pretty town in Croatia on the Adriatic coastline. However the music is not Croatian, nor have I even visited the location. It was written as a serenade, and then named to please a violist who I knew is very fond of Rovinj and who I hoped would play it for me. There's crafty!
This performance is played by Andy Grubb, Head of Music at Ryde School, Isle of Wight, accompanied by myself.
